Linking European, African, Asian and Latin-American global development think tanks
This project, supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), aims at addressing critical challenges in development financing and the reform of international financial architecture.
Project Objectives
This initiative seeks to:
- Identify and overcome political bottlenecks impeding a cohesive European position on development financing.
- Contribute to the ongoing discourse on reforming the international financial architecture.
- Develop strategic recommendations for upcoming high-level political meetings, including the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Sevilla, Spain, July 2025.
Multi-Phase Approach
Our comprehensive strategy unfolds in three key phases:
1. Global Perspective Gathering: – Organising webinars to capture insights from peer think tanks across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. – Identifying pressing reform needs from diverse global viewpoints.
2. Policy Analysis and Recommendations: – Producing three in-depth ETTG Policy Briefs. – Offering actionable policy recommendations for European decision-makers.
3. High-Level Engagement and Dissemination: – Hosting two exclusive closed-door events. – Facilitating discussions among key decision-makers on reform implementation. – Widely disseminating project findings and materials.
This project underscores ETTG’s commitment to shaping a more equitable global financial system and reinforcing Europe’s role in international development financing.
