On October 14, Geert Laporte talked with the radio-journalist Ricardo Alexandre for a 30′ Lisbon Speed talk session.
Geert Laporte is the Director of the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG), a network of leading European think tanks with 350 policy researchers working on EU international cooperation for global sustainable development. He is also the Deputy Director of the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM). Over the years he has built a strong network of contacts with EU institutions, successive EU Presidencies, EU member states, the African Union, African regional organisations, ACP institutions and various global institutions and non-governmental organisations. His areas of interest and specialisation include: EU international partnerships and the 2030 Universal Sustainable Development Agenda with a particular focus on EU policy coherence for sustainable development, governance and democracy support, conflict resolution and security, migration and development, regional integration, multi-stakeholder participation and inclusive partnerships.
The Lisbon Speed Talks aim at discussing global change and international challenges that affect our lives and communities. They are organised by the Lisbon Club, in partnership with the Municipality of Lisbon and the Institute Marquês de Valle Flor – IMVF.
