On April 15th, a select group of 40 participants gathered at the Elcano Royal Institute’s Brussels office for a stimulating discussion on the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG) report, “A Common Future for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean”. This invitation-only event brought together representatives from over 12 embassies, including LAC ambassadors, to engage with the report’s findings.
Report authors Iliana Olivié (ETTG Director), Niels Keijzer (IDOS) and Dora Meredith (ODI Europe) shared report findings alongside Elisabeth Diaz Hochmann, (UN DCO).
This insightful presentation explored how the European Union (EU) and the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region can strengthen their relationship in three crucial areas:
- Development Finance
- Climate Change and the Energy Transition
- Addressing Inequalities
The event fostered fruitful discussions and a valuable exchange of ideas among key stakeholders.
