DG DEVCO Infopoint session: Achieving sustainability in the cocoa sector. The shared load of private and public policies.
European Think Tanks Group (ETTG) is presenting a blog and a study carried out by the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI) on sustainability in the cocoa sector. The study reviews state of the art knowledge on the impact of the cocoa value chain on biodiversity, assesses the current strategies by the industry to address the issue and explore further options to improve sustainability in the cocoa-chocolate value-chain, including future european regulation.
