On 16 February 2022 from 13:00-15:00 pm CET, Bruce Byiers (ECDPM) will represent the ETTG Network as participant in the panel event ‘Borderlands as a frontier for prosperity, including through the AfCFTA’ by building on the ETTG report “Strengthening the AU-EU partnership on the economic development and trade agenda” as well as on ECDPM’s work for informal trading which relates directly to the topic of borderlands. These two papers are offering reflections on how the EU’s GG might translate into on the ground support.
The event is taking place during Africa-Europe Week 2022 and it is jointly organised by UNDP, UNICEF and UN Women.
