ETTG/ECDPM MFF online workshop event “Programming the NDICI in a post-Covid era”

December 8, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

ECDPM MFF online workshop event “Programming the NDICI in a post-Covid era”

The main objective of the event is to take stock of the progress made with regard to the negotiations of the NDICI and outstanding issues to be solved, as well as to discuss key principles for the programming of the instrument for the period 2021-2027. We would like to use this as an opportunity to facilitate an open discussion between representatives of the EU institutions, think tanks and civil society organisations.

More specifically, we aim:

    1. To take stock of progress made on MFF negotiations (overall and NDICI specifically), and on remaining outstanding points – what are the key issues that still need to be sorted out?
    2. To discuss the current state of play and next steps in the operationalisation of NDICI, and particularly the programming process – what are the main novelties, challenges and opportunities (e.g. policy-driven, budgetisation of the EDF, multi-stakeholder partnerships, impact of COVID-19, Team Europe…)
    3. To exchange views on the importance of a programming process that is:
  • Country-owned
  • Poverty-focused
  • Inclusive
