Today we were happy to convene ETTG members for our 2nd Annual Retreat in Paris. Hosted by IDDRI, this internal retreat served as a forum for our network to exchange insights on the evolving work of think tanks and to identify strategic priorities for our joint research on global development.

On September 15-16, 2025, the ETTG, alongside the Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), co-hosted a two-day workshop in Istanbul. The event, “New Directions in Development,” offered a comparative analysis of how Turkey, the European Union, and China engage with the Global South.
On 11-12 September 2025, ETTG, alongside German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) and Nelson Mandela University, convened a high-level workshop in Pretoria to critically assess the Africa-EU partnership from a decolonial perspective.
