The upcoming Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (4FfD) presents a crucial opportunity to address the challenges hindering progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In a world increasingly fragmented by polarization and diverging recovery paths, the 4FfD offers a platform to revitalize financing for development efforts and align priorities around a common agenda. While achieving this consensus proved difficult in 2015, it is likely to be even more challenging today.
The African continent faces unique challenges and opportunities within the context of the 4FfD. This webinar aims to identify key African priorities and potential solutions for inclusion in the conference’s agenda. By fostering a dialogue around pressing issues such as the integration of elements from other global processes and the identification of bold ambitions and realistic achievements, participants can contribute to shaping a more effective and inclusive financing for development framework.
