As 2018 begins, the challenges of humanitarian crises are momentous. Humanitarians are responding to large-scale emergencies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. “These challenges are complex but there are reasons for optimism” writes Larissa Fast.
