We were honoured to host a high-level dialogue on Climate Finance in the EU-North Africa Partnership, with Policy Center for the New South and ECDPM in Rabat. It featured North-African and European policy makers, researchers, CSO and private sector representatives.
Some of the key takeaways include:
- The critical need for innovative financing mechanisms to support North Africa’s green transition, with particular emphasis on blended finance solutions and private sector engagement
- Exploring synergies between adaptation and mitigation strategies while advancing broader socio-economic goals in the region
- The importance of addressing local needs and conditions in climate finance instruments, particularly through the Global Gateway Initiative
