We had the pleasure to host a high-level dialogue in Paris on January 15, 2025 on the reform of the international financial architecture, ahead of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville.
The event on “The Reform of the International Financial Architecture. Making the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development a success” brought together representatives from EU Member States’ Finance Ministries, including Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Denmark, for frank and constructive discussions on crucial topics:
- Financing SDGs amidst fiscal constraints and climate challenges
- Reform of Multilateral Development Banks
- Prospects for a common European position at FfD4
We were honoured to conclude with an enriching open session featuring distinguished speakers from the OECD, Agence Française de Développement, and AfriCatalyst, focusing on strengthening EU-Global South partnerships in today’s fragmented world.
Special thanks to the ETTG member IDDRI for the great hosting and logistical support.
